The Metadata Collection provides an overview of all manuscript descriptions contributed by users.
Each row in the table represents a single manuscript, displaying key metadata such as name, repository, location, and links to digital surrogates. The filtering interface allows the data to be refined by responsible person, language of data entry, repositories, authors and other.
In addition to the tabular view, the collection includes a map visualisation that offers a geographical overview of manuscript origins and current locations. This provides an intuitive way to explore spatial patterns in the dataset.
To contribute new metadata, manuscripts must first be described using the Metadata Editor and exported in JSON format. The resulting file can then be uploaded directly to the MANO GitHub repository, or by clicking the "Contribute to the Collection" button on this page. After submitting the files, new records will automatically appear in the collection.
Every contribution helps expand the shared digital resource, and participation in enriching the Metadata Collection is greatly appreciated.
